Upon arriving CA in 2021, our Mom was already bedridden for at least 2 years & the doctors had told us we would be lucky to have six months with her ~ Over the past 4 years, we found various ways to keep her spirits lifted, helped strengthen her lungs using breathing exercises, sang her favorite songs, incorporated sacred qigong forms I learned from Sifu @christopherleematsuo— even used crystals to keep Mom connected with nature and brought the outside world inside for her through flower bouquets, plants and orchids which she especially loved. We practiced saying these positive words to affirm her will to stay strong and empowered at a time most people may have allowed negative thoughts or feelings of defeat to take over. These tools were amazing for her and also for me.
I’m so grateful to crystallize a beautiful practice I enjoyed doing with my amazing mother and happy to be able to share it with others that may also need a little boost from time to time.
